Dublin, OH, October 1, 2018 – IGS is proud to announce that Scott White, president and CEO, IGS, has been honored as one of Columbus Business First’s Most Admired Executives. Over the years, he has crafted his own unique style of leadership which is admired by IGS employees, the business community and his family.
He remains committed and connected to his executive team through day-to-day communication and interaction. White is a leader that empowers his team and trusts them to lead their respective teams. In turn, his team and employees view him as an accessible, engaged and charismatic leader.
“Keeping a pulse on what’s happening through the company allows me to be a more effective and strategic leader and collaborator,” says White. “I don’t see IGS as “my” company. Instead, I believe that I’m a caretaker and with effective organizational clarity, I work to ensure that we’re all on the same page and working toward achieving shared goals.”
As part of those shared goals, White is leading IGS through its focus on their purpose, which is to build a meaningful energy future together.
“All decisions that are made are intentional and connected to this purpose,” says White.
He is also committed to supporting the communities in which IGS does business and the very areas where employees live and work. Through his focus on making an impact, the company partners with non-profit organizations to make transformational change in all of the communities it serves.
“Scott is passionate about his role as a leader not only in the office, but also outside of the walls of our business, too,” says Jenni Kovach, chief people officer.
“He leads by example through his many board representations and encourages all of us to volunteer and help out in our communities. It’s all about making a conscious effort to be seen as a partner.” In fact, White is an active participant in the Conscious Capitalism movement, which is all about businesses focusing on purpose over profits. The way he leads IGS is based on the notion that he wants to bring out best in others and inspire them to live meaningful and fulfilling lives.
